Danielle and Me love to cook together, but things can get intense when a dish calls for onions. Danielle would rather have a spider in her hand then the taste of onion in her mouth. To her the texture and taste make her squeamish. I love onions. Put them on a burger to provide that extra crunch. Add it to a sauce for a hint of flavor. I even love the challenge of cutting an onion. For us the battle starts at the grocery store. If the onion doesn’t make it into the cart then it will never make it into the dish.

This is where the gloves come off and the real challenge begins – each of us attempting to make the best dish with or without the use of an onion. You want to add crunch to a burger I say ‘add an onion’ Danielle says – ‘add an apple’.

Now not every dish we make will use onion, and for the most part the battle over onions will be minimal, but it does make for a great blog name. So join us as we explore food from the eyes of a Chef and a Cook. Through videos, photos, and words.
